Product details
Personal cooling for one square metre. The CoolMist draws air across chilled water so what reaches you is cooler than the room, not just moving faster. Quiet enough to leave running beside a keyboard.
Features
- Evaporative cooling — noticeably cooler air than a plain fan, because it is not just recirculating warm air
- Add water or ice — ice makes a real difference on the hottest days
- Multiple speeds — from barely-there to full breeze
- Compact and quiet — sized for a desk or a bedside table
- Three finishes — White, Black or Green
Perfect for
- Home offices in a heatwave, where air conditioning is not an option
- Bedrooms, because it is quiet enough to sleep through
- Anyone in a rented flat who cannot install anything
Good to know
This is a personal cooler, not air conditioning. It works within about a metre and it will not cool a room. Evaporative cooling also adds humidity, which is a benefit in dry heat and less so in muggy weather — on a humid UK day you will feel the airflow more than the chill.
Frequently asked questions
Will it cool my room?
No, and we would rather tell you now. It cools the person sitting in front of it. A room needs a proper air conditioner.
Do I have to use ice?
No, water alone works. Ice makes the difference more obvious on very hot days.
How often do I refill it?
Depends on the speed setting. On a low setting it will run for hours; on full it empties faster.
Is it noisy enough to disturb sleep?
Most people find it produces a soft white-noise hum rather than a fan rattle. On the lowest setting it is very quiet.
