Collection: Gifts for Pet Lovers

Buying for someone with a dog is easy if you buy for the dog. Everything here solves a mess or a routine rather than being another squeaky toy that lasts a weekend.

How to choose

For the wet kitchen floor: the NoSpill 360 bowl uses a floating disc that lets a dog drink while stopping the splash. It is the least glamorous gift on this page and the one people message us about.

For walks and car journeys: the Hydration Pup travel bottle folds out into a bowl and works one-handed while you are holding a lead.

For a household that works long days: the AutoFeed timed feeder handles portion control and scheduled meals.

For a larger dog: the Elevate bamboo feeder tilts the bowls so bigger dogs are not eating at an awkward angle.

Frequently asked questions

Does the spill-proof bowl actually work?

Yes, and the mechanism is simple: a floating disc sits on the water surface and only lets a small area through at a time, so the dog can drink but the water cannot slosh over the rim when the bowl is knocked. It will not stop a determined dog splashing with a paw.

Are the bowls dishwasher safe?

The stainless steel bowls from the elevated feeder and the automatic feeder both lift out and are dishwasher safe. The bamboo stand and the electronic feeder base should be wiped rather than submerged.

Will an automatic feeder work for a cat?

Yes — it is designed for both. Cats generally adapt to a timed feeder within a few days. Introduce it while you are at home rather than starting it the morning you leave for a full day.

What size dog is the travel bottle suitable for?

The fold-out bowl suits small and medium dogs comfortably. A large dog will empty it faster than you would like on a long walk, so it is better as a top-up than as a whole day's water.

What is a good gift for a dog owner rather than the dog?

Honestly, the travel bottle. It lives in a coat pocket, it gets used on every walk, and it means the owner stops carrying a collapsible bowl and a separate bottle.
