Collection: Gifts for Kids & Babies

Two kinds of thing live here: presents that get opened, and the practical kit that makes a specific day easier for whoever is doing the parenting.

By age

Newborn: the Cloudwrap swaddle set covers 0 to 9 months with fastenings you can manage one-handed at three in the morning, and the gentle nasal aspirator is the thing people wish they had been given.

Crawling and first steps: the knee pad and grip sock set for hard floors.

Toddlers: Ellie the singing elephant is our most-given soft toy, and the sound unit lifts out so it can be washed.

Older children: the Astro galaxy projector and the PocketPrint sticker printer are the two that end up on social media.

Frequently asked questions

Is a galaxy projector safe in a child's bedroom?

Used properly, yes — placed out of reach, pointed at the ceiling rather than at eye level, run dim and on a timer. The important detail is that nobody looks directly into the projector's aperture, which is why ceiling placement matters. Keep the cable routed away from the cot or bed.

What is a good gift for a baby that is not another soft toy?

Anything the parents will use daily. The swaddle set, the nasal aspirator and the cordless bottle warmer are all unglamorous and all genuinely welcome. New parents receive a great many toys and very few useful objects.

Can the singing elephant be washed?

Yes. The electronic sound unit lifts out of a zipped pocket, and the plush shell can then go in the machine. This matters more than it sounds.

What age is the sticker printer suitable for?

It suits roughly age eight upwards, since it pairs with a phone and needs a little patience to load the paper. It uses thermal paper rather than ink, so there is nothing to spill and no cartridges to replace.

Are the knee pads suitable for hard floors?

That is exactly what they are for. Carpet is forgiving; laminate, tile and floorboards are not, and the padded knee section plus non-slip sock grip is aimed squarely at those.
